She describes how this led her to seek trauma therapy and ultimately to become passionate about bringing trauma-informed practices into the Church. Krista gives an excellent overview of what trauma is, and why trauma informed care is so crucial in our current cultural and historical context. She offers a variety of practical suggestions for how churches can create safe spaces that weave trauma informed practices into worship gatherings and community spiritual formation.
